The International Woodworking Machinery, Cutting Tools, Hand Tools Fair– WoodTech, the most comprehensive gathering of the woodworking machinery sector in Eurasia, was held for the 38th time at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul between October 11 and 15, 2025.
The fair, organized by RX Tüyap in collaboration with AIMSAD and supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS), was once again met with great interest from industry professionals this year. Over the course of five days, participating companies had the opportunity to showcase their new technologies, strengthen existing business relationships, and establish new commercial connections. With 100 AIMSAD member companies participating, the fair once again demonstrated the strength of the Turkish woodworking machinery sector.
This year, WoodTech, held in 12 halls, brought together over 300 participating companies and company representatives. The product groups on display included woodworking machinery, cutting tools, automation systems, dust collection solutions, surface treatment equipment, CNC technologies, and hand tools. Visitors had the opportunity to closely examine the industry’s latest production lines, AI-supported systems, and digital transformation-focused applications.
Visitors came from 96 countries
The fair welcomed a total of 21,076 professional visitors, including 3,477 international visitors from 96 countries. This intense interest in the fair, including domestic visitors, once again highlighted Türkiye’s position in the woodworking machinery sector and its competitive strength on a global scale.
It accelerated the growth of the sector
WoodTech 2025 went beyond being a trading platform, offering an environment for knowledge sharing and collaboration that shaped the future of the industry. Participating companies opened doors to new collaborations through meetings and presentations held over five days, while the innovative solutions showcased at the fair highlighted technologies that increase production efficiency and enhance export competitiveness. Thanks to the technical meetings and sectoral contacts organized during the fair, Türkiye’s production quality and innovative power were introduced to a wider international audience. Professional visitors, particularly from the Balkans, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, had the opportunity to closely observe the technology and quality level offered by Turkish manufacturers.
Contributing to Türkiye’s export potential
The WoodTech Fair, as it does every year, supported the sustainability of this strong performance for the woodworking machinery sector, one of Türkiye’s few industries with a current account surplus. The international business network offered by WoodTech opened new market doors for Turkish companies while also increasing the interest of global brands in the Turkish market. In this respect, the fair positioned itself as a strategic organization that facilitated the growth of trade volume for both domestic producers and international participants.
Mark your calendars for WoodTech 2026
The 39th edition of WoodTech will take place on October 22–25, 2026, at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul. Industry professionals and manufacturers will come together at the next event to discover the latest technologies, strengthen business connections, and explore international trade opportunities.
“We are working for the sector and doing our utmost”
Arif Onur Kaçak, Board Member and Secretary General of AIMSAD, said, “The picture we saw at the 38th WoodTech Fair clearly showed that our sector has maintained its stability despite challenging economic conditions. The products exhibited by our companies, their use of technology, and their approach to production have made the Turkish woodworking machinery sector’s achievements much more visible. As AIMSAD, we participated in the fair with approximately 100 of our members this year and collectively reflected the sector’s real production capacity on the ground. The quality of the discussions, the visitor profile focused on purchasing, and the desire for contacts to turn into concrete business opportunities were important signs that the fair was commercially productive. We are not just observers in this sector; we are actively involved in production, organization, and the development of relationships. We are working for the sector and doing our utmost, and I believe this approach will continue to produce sustainable results. I think WoodTech will continue to be a balanced and results-oriented meeting point for the sector in the coming period.”
“WoodTech ranks among Türkiye’s leading fairs”
Berkan Öner, General Manager of RX Tüyap, sharing his assessment of the WoodTech Fair, said, “We have just concluded the 38th edition of our WoodTech fair this year. In these turbulent times for the global economy, our fair, which is directly linked to value-added production, welcomed 3,500 foreign visitors from 96 countries. The total number of domestic and foreign visitors exceeded 21,000. The synergy created between our visitors and participating companies and the resulting trade opportunities are, in our opinion, beyond the numbers. WoodTech ranks among Türkiye’s leading trade fairs in terms of both square footage and visitor numbers. Since the profile of visitors to the fair is entirely focused on production and purchasing, I believe the term “productive crowd” is not inaccurate for WoodTech. The strong partnership we have maintained with AIMSAD for many years plays an important role in the development of our fair. We are pleased to see the positive results of the work we have carried out this year in line with the common goals of the sector. WoodTech continues to grow and develop steadily, just like the woodworking machinery sector.”
