AIMSAD Chairman of the Board İsmet Toktaş made evaluations about the WoodTech Fair, which will open its doors for the 35th time between 22-26 October this year. Reminding that the WoodTech Fair has been going on for 35 years without a break, Toktaş said; “This fair is the biggest meeting point of the woodworking machinery industry in Turkey. As AIMSAD, we are very pleased to contribute to the organization of the WoodTech Fair. I am confident that we will put our signature under a very successful fair this year, as in previous years.”

AIMSAD Chairman of the Board İsmet Toktaş made statements about WoodTech, the Woodworking Machinery, Cutting Tools, Hand Tools Fair, which is the biggest meeting point of the woodworking machinery industry in the Eurasia Region.

Stating that they bring the sector stakeholders together every year with the experience of Reed TÜYAP and the sector power of AIMSAD İsmet Toktaş continued his words as it follows; “The fair we organized last year was very productive for both participants and visitors. In our interviews with the participants, we received feedback that they encountered a profile of visitors who really need machinery and want to trade. There was a great interest from visitors especially from Russia, the Middle East, North Africa, Ukraine and the Balkans. Over 50 thousand visitors came, of which nearly 10 thousand were foreigners and over 40 thousand locals. The trade volume at the fair was 350 million TL. 90% of the exhibitors stated that they were satisfied with participating in the fair. Again, 95 percent of the exhibitors left the fair satisfied with the quality of the visitors. We have no doubt that these rates will increase this year. However, we expect European visitors to come to the fore at the fair this year. With the arrival of European visitors, the woodworking machinery industry will be one step closer to its export targets with its country diversity.”

“WoodTech Fair will be held alone in 2023”

Underlining that the WoodTech Fair carries out its mission of being the meeting point of the industry very accurately, AIMSAD Chairman of the Board İsmet Toktaş gave information about the important developments regarding the fair. Ismet Toktas; “As AIMSAD, we will continue to do our part to ensure that this mission continues completely, not only for this year, but also for the years to come. In this direction, we will organize the WoodTech Fair, which will be held in 2023, separately from the Intermob Fair, which was held simultaneously until this year. WoodTech is one of the oldest and well – established fairs in Turkey. However, as we all know, companies cannot find the area and square meters to represent themselves in our fair, which is held simultaneously with the Intermob Fair. Many of the well-established and leading companies of the sector and the fair are located in the second and third halls. The columned structure in the lower halls causes the companies to experience great problems during the placement and dismantling. In addition, since the two fairs are held simultaneously, visitor measurement and reporting cannot be made specifically for the WoodTech Fair. We frequently receive requests and suggestions from our members for solutions to these problems, both during the fair and in different periods. In this direction, we have expressed our demand for the separation of the fairs to Reed Tuyap. As a result of the long discussions we had with each other, our opinion was found positive by Reed Tüyap and they conveyed to our association that they can separate the fairs. Therefore, as of 2023, we will organize the WoodTech Fair alone. We will also sign many innovations at our fair next year. We will continue to share all innovations and developments with our AIMSAD member companies throughout the year. We hope that these regulations will satisfy all our member companies.”

Stating that the WoodTech Fair has increased its brand value in the world every year with its successes, İsmet Toktaş said; “As in previous years, mass production lines, robot technologies, surface treatment machines, panel and solid furniture machines and many products where digitalization stands out will be exhibited at the fair this year. WoodTech Fair, which has been the only meeting point of the woodworking machinery industry in Turkey for years, is also an important cooperation platform for national, regional and international companies. AIMSAD member companies, which will participate in the WoodTech Fair, will have the most visited stands of the fair this year, as in previous years, with their products and services produced with the latest technologies. I would like to thank all sector stakeholders and AIMSAD members who supported, contributed and participated in our fair. We will achieve new successes together.”
