Preparations for the WoodTech Fair are in full swing, with the event set to open its doors for the 38th time this year. Following LIGNA, the fair occupies the most critical position in the calendar of local companies and retains its status as Eurasia’s largest and most influential organization in the field of woodworking machinery and technologies. The event, scheduled to take place from October 11-15, 2025, at the Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, will bring together over 300 brands showcasing their latest products and technologies to industry professionals. WoodTech will once again serve as the hub not only for trade but also for innovation, global collaborations, and sectoral vision.
In order to discuss the latest developments and innovations at the WoodTech Fair, which has played a crucial role over its 38-year history in helping companies operating in the woodworking machinery sector in Türkiye to promote themselves, keep up with industry developments, and expand into international markets, we met with RX Tüyap General Manager Berkan Öner, who stated, “WoodTech not only strengthens companies’ present but also lays the groundwork for them to move forward with more strategic steps into the future.”
AIMSAD, which is increasing its unity and representation power in the Turkish woodworking machinery sector day by day, is guiding the development of the sector with its 10 years of experience. The association, which has increased its number of members to 123, continues its work in the Turkish woodworking machinery sector without slowing down, both domestically and globally, with its activities ranging from education to fairs, from promotion to publishing.
Although tight monetary policies, shrinking export markets, and deepening economic problems continued on a global scale and had an impact on the global woodworking machinery sector in the first half of 2025, Turkish machine manufacturers did not pause their export-oriented efforts. The Turkish woodworking machinery sector, which exported $68.4 million in the first half of the year, continued its tradition of generating a trade surplus.
Edda Makine General Manager Recep Tunç pointed out that in a period when protectionist policies, customs duties, and high interest rates are having an impact on global trade, the trend toward automation and digitalization in the machine manufacturing sector is gaining momentum. He stated that they are responding to this change with high-tech production processes and software developed in-house. The company, which produces approximately 40 machines per month in its modern facilities spanning 7,000 square meters of indoor space and 3,000 square meters of outdoor space, has an extensive dealer network spanning from North and South America to Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Since 2022, the company has transitioned to an exclusive dealership model in many regions, aiming to increase access to local markets and maximize customer satisfaction.
We met with Ahmed Enes İnce, the General Manager of the Testeresan serving in the cutting tools sector for many years, to discuss the company’s goals. Making significant evaluations both in the cutting tools industry in general and within their own company, Ahmed Enes İnce said, “The key to success in the industrial world is not only offering high-quality products but also making a difference by quickly adapting to changes in the industry.”
Advancing with the goals of increasing production capacity, enhancing after-sales services, and boosting brand recognition on a global scale, SİLOMA continues to strengthen its position in the industry with sustainable and innovative solutions. SİLOMA Project Sales Executive Eyüp Emir shared the strategic steps the company has taken in this direction and its future growth plans.

We conducted an interview with Oemak Machine’s co-founders, İbrahim Altıparmak and Mesut Barut, discussing the evolution of the Turkish woodworking machinery sector over the years, industry innovations for 2024, and the short, medium, and long-term goals of the Oemak Machine brand. Altıparmak and Barut, emphasizing the importance of maintaining reliability while offering high-quality products to the market, stated, “We want to stand out not only through the quality of our products and services but also through the strong relationships we build with our customers and our contributions to the industry. For this purpose, we are advancing confidently into the future on the path of sustainable growth by using resources efficiently.”
We came together with Burak Akıskali, Board Member of Nesto Machine, which makes significant contributions to the Turkish woodworking machinery industry by exporting the machines they produce in their 4,500 square meter factory in Bursa-İnegöl to more than 40 countries, to talk about the goals of their company, the work they will carry out throughout 2024, the fairs they will attend, and their evaluations regarding the growth of the sector. Burak Akıskali pointed out that the perception of Turkish woodworking machinery manufacturers has gained an increasingly important place in international markets every year: “We believe that in the upcoming days, companies that increase brand awareness, raise the perception of ‘Made in Türkiye’ and make investments in this regard in the international market will shine even brighter. As Nesto Machine, we are working towards this goal with all of our strength.”
